Am I the only who is not enough 8 insert FX in Cubase to Master?

I was thinking that they will increase instert slots with 6.0 or 6.5 Cubase, but still nothing.... With some metering plugs, Eq, limiters, stereo widening, etc, it is really not enought for me...how about You?
Even in analog mastering, setup is much more bigger than 8 units in many cases..

???

You can route everything to different bus which you can create which then can be routed to Master bus. This combination will give you 16 inserts. You can also group everything in to one group, then send this to another group then on to master which is then what? 24 inserts...You can also group everything, send to another group, send to another group etc.etc..

I think 8 slots are enough on master. What plugs do you use so much on master?

Anyway i think most convenient solution for you will be (possibly) some kind of chainer shell for next version of cubase. Almost every host have one of it. You can put chainer in one slot (leaving 7 free) and inside chainer you can load dozen of effects. As much as your computer can handle actually..

Ableton Rack, FL Studio Patcher, Reason Combinator, Sonar have one, Reaper have one, Studio one have one..only Cubase is missing this functionality..

DDMF Metaplugin may be of use to you.

Metaplugin is much like the chainer shell that mpod describes.

Product page is DDMF: VST plugins, AU plugins, audio software

And the price is only $29

8 is plenty for me ! I'll use 6 slots at the most - 2 units being the same . EQ before anything for low cut then EQ after the comp .etc

If your mastering a stereo file(as you should)there's another 8 inserts on the audio track it self, that's 16.

8 is enough for me.

And as someone said make a group track(in the add new track section),go to your track output and change the output to group.

Then group sends its output to the master buss, that's 24,and yes you can send a group to yet another group!

That's 32 inserts...
