I'd like to know what his view is regarding high sample rates... is he familiar with the papers from Dan Lavry and does he agree?

Higher sample rates equal more precision, or does it create more room for errors?

What's the optimal sample rate in his opinion?

I second Geert's question: Does he agree with the speed/accuracy thing and how high is "high enough"

my borrowed 2 cents

He has a software SRC already, "Saracon" Unfortunatly it is very expensive, like everything else they produce.

I'd ask for his thoughts on "soft limiting". The Weiss units are the only ones that I think do a good job with the soft clip stuff.

... but it is also of the highest quality, like everything they produce! The Weiss tools are incredible! This is the quality where the plugins today have to move to!

On one hand, I can certainly sympathize with the approach of "Hey, I can't hear any difference, so why should I pay that much?". On the other, I wonder why anyone who can't hear a difference is recording, mixing, or producing records.

How does he see the future of digital hardware boxes vs. plugins? Is processing power still a big issue?

Theres no denying the quality, but is the cost of materials and labor really that much?

Just wondering...the prices are extremely prohibitive.

Why do dogs lick their balls ? Because they can.

Why does Digi and other well established companies charge exaggerated high prices ? Because they can.
