| changing bpm/tempo of samples in cubase hi. i've just begun making sample based music, and i was wondering if any of you guys could "teach" me how to change the tempo of a sample/loop, faster, slower. thanks in advance. |

| Lives for gear | If you know the tempo of your sample then you can simply highlight the part and goto AUDIO>PROCESS>TIMESTRETCH. But SX3 has cool, realtime audio quantising features. Double click the part to open the sample editor. Click on Warp samples and now you can set the warp points so that the sample is automatically stretched/compressed to fit the project tempo. There's more stuff in the sample editor to let you set warp points so the audio automatically fits any project tempo, but I seriously recommend reading the manual to find out how to do it. ![]()
