Thread Starter | My G4 Dual 867 VS. A Mini Dual core with Logic 7
Is there anyone who could tell me who is the winner out of these two macs in processor power for plugins and track count? I am getting by with my Dual 867 G4 but it is not very creative with the constant freezing and bouncing to watch CPU. I also have never gotten a 96K session running with virtual instruments. I get drums and bass going(EXS sounds much better to me at 96K). I try to add chords and splatt the S*@T hits the fan.Could the dual core Mac mini be the answer?

I would say: Yes, buy a mac mini, if all of your software including drivers work on intel and you aren't going to be missing anything you need like PCI or firewire 800.
