Thread Starter | Time Adjuster plugin - negative values
Pro Tools 8.0.5 LE. Apogee Rosetta 800. Snow Leopard. When I use analog gear for an insert on a kick or a snare, I have to use the Time Adjuster plug-in on the rest of the drum tracks in order to keep them lined up and in phase. Depending on the setting of H/W buffer size, I usually have to put the Time Adjuster plugin on the rest of the instruments in the session, so the track still feels the same. For example, If I delayed only the drums to compensate for a snare drum with a hardware insert, all the guitars would then sound ahead of the drums. With a H/W buffer size of 512, I have to compensate 2051 samples. Definitely a significant amount. It would be a very quick solution if there was a plugin that would move the track [I am using an insert on] to the left, or earlier to compensate for the delay that happens with the D/A/D, sort of the opposite of what Time Adjuster does. Does anyone know of something like this? Thanks! |

Strange PTLE cannot do this - it is easy in Cubendo, just add a negative value for track delay in the inspector & job done. Voxengo Sound Delay might be what you are looking for though....it's free, so worth a look

Only plugin I found doing negative values is Expert Sleepers Latency Fixer, I do not think Voxengo does that. You may try it with a wrapper since it is only AU or VST. Edit: It will probably not work since the plugin rely on hosts supporting latency compensation which PT 8 not have? |
