Aurora 16 problems with Avid Sync HD but not with Digi Sync I/O ?

I bought a used Avid Sync HD recently , to use it with an HD3 accel PCIe system in a mac pro 8 core using snow leopard and Pro tools HD 9.
I have 2 Avid HD I/O's analog 16 , as well as an Aurora 16 VT LT /HD , that i will share between this computer and another mac pro 8 core with an HD Native card and an AES16e , using mostly Logic pro or Pro tools HD softs in Snow leopard.

I emailed Lynx recently to ask them how i should connect/setup the Aurora 16 VT LT/HD with the Loop Sync function but the guy told me the Aurora 16 works better with the Digidesign Sync I/O :

" There have been issues with the SYNC HD boxes and Auroras. The older SYNC I/O worked for customers.

Basically, when using Loop Sync you would use our Word Clock in and out connectors, since we do not have separate Loop Sync connectors. "

I emailed to have more infos but i had no answer , so i would like to understand how the Aurora 16 or Pro Tools HD , can make a difference and why the Digidesign Sync I/O would work better than the Avid Sync HD ?

i think there was a digidesign Sync HD as well in between the two others, isn't it ?

Does anybody here have some experience with the Aurora 16 and Pro tools sync interfaces ?

I can't believe none of you is using an Avid Sync HD with his Aurora 's as it seems many people here have some !
If someone using this setup could tell me if it works perfectly or not , it would be great !

I emailed again to Lynx for they give me more infos about that but had no answer !
So i emailed Avid as well to see if they can give me some infos on their side .
