Yeah, been waiting for a while as well, and I'm excited to get my hands on that new 15"+ Superdrive next week, but honestly, after a year since the last update, this is the best they could do? To top it off, they drop the L3 cahe. No comprende...

And then there's the big announcement of the much anticipated Apple wireless keyboard and mouse. Basically, you fork out your $70 for a mouse that looks no different than the one they packaged with most Powermacs for the past 5 years, only this one is cordless. It's the year 2003 and still, no second mouse button, and no scroll wheel. What a f___ing joke.

To the Apple R & D dept: fuuck

Most of the problem with the lack of speed increases in this update (and previous for that matter) is Motorola. They're what's holding back the growth of the G4. Can't wait until the whole Mac line is running on IBM chips - I think we'll see speed growth a LOT faster than what we're used to...

however, I do agree with you on the single button mouse.... ARGGHH

Umm....all wireless mice and keyboards I've seen to date require batteries.
Of all the things than can interfere with what's in your room, it's a couple of AA batteries in your mouse that worry you?

No I don't worry about those batteries, just thought the wireless connection of the mouse & keybourd could interfere, like a cellphone does and wireless guitar jacks etc.

Apple took the time to make sure that wouldn't be a problem.

Well I'm pissed now.

Last week, I purposely checked my credit report to see where I stand, should I need Apple's financing plan to purchase the new p-book, and I was excited to see that I actually had a great credit rating. Stable job, stable address, good income, no outstanding debt, etc.

So today I decided to go for it, applied for the MBNA Apple loan, and to my dismay, I got turned down for a mere $3000.

AAAAArrrghhh.......
