Thread Starter | Logic 9 - How To Change Channel Outputs
Hi Folks... I'm running Logic 9 and using an A&H ZED R16 board. I have tracks that were recorded before I had the board and these tracks all have their output set and reading as "Stereo Out". I want to re-assign these channel outputs so they route back through the ZED on individual channels for manual mixing. This works fine when I create new tracks but I cannot change these tracks that already exist. Clicking on "Stereo Out" does nothing and right-clicking it only brings up a menu for what I wan to appear on the channel strip. So basically, I want to "re-assign" channels that are currently assigned as Stereo Out to individual channel outputs of my choice so I can route them through my ZED. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

That allows me to assign which 2-channels on my board the whole Stereo Mix goes to. That works fine but I'm looking to send individual channels in Logic to specific channes on the board. For instance Bass track on track 1 in Logic assigned to route to Channel 1 on my board (via the firewire). Again, this works perfectly when I make a brand new track. But I can't change an existing track from "Stereo Out" to an individual out. |

Goodness, I feel like a dope. Your instruction there led me to question something I was doing. I use an Apple Magic Trackpad and it look like it isn't set to give me true left-click and was bringing up a different menu. So using a regular Apple mouse exactly the right thing happened and I can do what I want. Just have to reassign zones on my Trackpad. Thanks sincerely for leading to the right question. |

| It works with standard settings IF you physically click & hold the pad The 'Tap to Click' preference which makes the Trackpad such a silent pleasure to use normally doesn't actually work when doing what you were looking to do - as you found out - so yes, one finger and an actual click brings up the menu you were looking for |
