Will PT 9 open a PT 6.7 session?

I've searched but can't find a definitive answer. Todays session (6.7) would not open in customer's rig (PT9).
Is this normal?

I've been able to open up PT 5.1 sessions in PT9 with no problems. I would assume 6.7 would work as well.

No that is not normal. It should open just fine. Was any error message given?

I have never had a problem with PT opening any earlier version sessions. I open up version 6.4 sessions on a pretty regular basis.

Send a message via AIM to Kenny Gioia
It's the other way that should be an issue.

They are always meant to support their older versions.

I thought so. Yes, there were error messages, don't remember exactly as I wasn't the one trying to open them. My LE 7.4 system had no problem opening them but the client had fits. Ended up consolidating all the files (10 songs of drum tracks) so the client could import them.........some days are harder than others!

Thanks for the replies.
