Clocking MOTU 896 and 828mkII

Has anybody else had problems with jitter while daisy-chaining an 896 and 828mkII with the clock source set to the internal 896? The 828 is "dancing" around it's sample rate settings. They are interfacing with Nuendo 2 (old, I know... $$$$ issues).
