Control Surface Messes with my VSTi!

Hi Guys,

Just installed Cubase 6 Elements on my PC. Something strange is going on when using my BCF2000 in mackie mode. It controls Cubase as it always has in previous versions. However, when I load a VSTi the BCF2000 seems to mess around with that in addition to the usual controls of cubase. e.g. If I push the fader position up on the bcf2000 to increase fader position on cubase mixer, it ALSO plays a note through my VSTi!! All the faders play different notes!!! How do I stop the BCF2000 from affecting my VSTi but maintaining control of my Cubase DAW. I've previously used Cubase LE4 and LE6 with no problem.

Thanks in anticipation of your help.

Pete

EDIT - Ignore me guys. Being especially dim! I had set the VSTi input to ALL MIDI. After selecting the appropriate MIDI input correctly, all issues resolved. Note to self, check inputs and outputs before posting a dum sounding thread!

By default midi source for tracks is All Midi Inputs.
Specify an appropriate MIDI input other than the one from the control surface, such as a keybord, controller

Thanks Drycappuccinoguy. No sooner had I posted to the forum, I answered my own question. Annoyingly I'd spent hours trying to figure it out and then wham, it occured to me to check my Midi input routing.

Thanks for getting back to me though.
