What dither is applied during fades/destr. editing in LP7

Please don't reply if you don't have a clue what I'm talking about :-)

I was wondering... I know Logic applies dithering during fades (via fade tool) - but what kind? I assume it would be one of the three licensed POW-r algorithms, but I am not certain. I and can't hear which one - even though I normally can hear the difference between most dither types.

Another question.. during destructive editing in the sample window there are only two choices: either Logic truncates the audio or it applies dither. I can't seem to hear any dithering going on, and since the bit size of the file can't change, either choice *must* apply of course.

I'm actually leaning towards truncation since that's what I believe I'm hearing. Which would explain why an edited file is impossible to match (phase inverted in a null test) against a (in theory) similar real time processed version with all three dither types respectively. There would be pros & cons for using dithering on destructive editing, but I would actually say truncation would be the best choice (and what is seemingly also used right now), since dithering would only be applied to part of the file, and would start becoming very audible after just a few processes on the same part of the file.

I know this is a rather technical question that might only be answered by the Apple/Emagic developers, but I can't help wondering.
