Presonus VSL (USB) on Windows XP?

Anyone here using the Presonus VSL software with Windows XP?

I have a 44VSL (USB), and when I run the VSL software, the computer seems to freeze up. Not a lockup, but a freeze. If I unplug the USB cable, it un-freezes. I've downloaded the latest software version from Presonus.

I've seen others on the Personus forum discussing this issue but never see an answer or fix.

PS - I'm on a laptop, but it's a full fledged laptop with plenty of meat to run this software package.

What are your system specs?

Processor
Ram
OS version (service packs, etc)
Brand

Are you running antivirus?

Would you be willing to go through some troubleshooting with me via our Support system?

I've used the AB 44 VSL on a variety of systems, only one of which I would consider "beefy" and its performed wonderfully. I have optimized every system for Audio, which is standard procedure before installing an audio interface.

I'm more than willing to give you a hand.

Cheers,

Found this in the release notes of Audiobox VSL, perhaps uninstalling my software and re-installing per these directions might fix?

I would go to our website and grab the latest driver and install that one. Probably an older issue that got fixed in the first update. If you have any further trouble, go to PreSonus Audio Electronics and put in a ticket! we'll be glad to do some proper troubleshooting for you

(sorry for the late reply... Its tough to keep up with all the different forums)

Cheers,

Jason
