Anyone uses the esi m8u midi interface?? It seems like a solid affordable interface

Friend of me has the ESI, he's very happy with it. Works well and is very affordable. He's on OSX.

not all interfaces are created equal, the edirol is proven rock solid and the hardware MIDI patching is a huge time saver not to mention not having to worry about latency.
if you want expencive look at the price of teh Digidesign MIDI i/o although that does have 10 i/o

ESI PCI audio card i come up with on ocasion hasnt been compleatly stable but i havnt used their Midi devices.

just how i see it anyway but use whatever works for you.


what software are you going to be using it with?

mostly cubase sx sometimes logic, i also want to sync with my mpc

Question

Anyone knows where to get a good deal on an Edirol um-880? I know they were blowing them out at one time for $150 but I can't seem to find any place that has them anymore.
