aiff files sound different in pro tools versus logic?

is it possible that there is different coloration between these two platforms?

i have been EQing my sound files in logic, bouncing them, and then bringing them into pro tools for mixing. what has been bothering me is that they sound quite different in pro tools. i didn't think this could be possible, so i re-imported my EQ'd sound file (to make sure it sounded the same pre-bounced) AND i bounced the file out of pro tools and then compared all three in logic.

this is what i found:

the pro tools file has significantly more bottom end - a lot more. the EQ'd file sounded almost the same as the un-bounced original (with equalization).

can anyone explain what is happening?

when listening to the files in pro tools i hear the same thing; more bottom end and exaggerated midrange.

The protools bus definetly has a different sound then the logic bus. I can't say what it is exactly because I haven't done any side by side critical listening but there is definetly a difference. Also, you don't mention any hardware specs. Is logic using protools hardware or do you have a seperate setup?
