Chandler EMI TG 12413......

Just been playing with the demo for this....
nice, don't get me wrong, but..... but
not WOW! I guess.
definitely nice on the drum buss (prefer the modern to the 1969), also tried it on a vocal track, and I thought it was good here too, just wish it was cheaper i guess!!
$695 is a big chunk for something that, while really nice, doesn't blow me away.
For example, I threw the Hydratone EQ on a piano track, tweaked, and I WAS blown away!!
BTW, anyone know if I can get the LE version of the Chandler plug to work on my MIX 6.2.3 as RTAS? (I've got the demo authorisation for the TDM on my iLok, I suppose I could get the authorisation for the LE and try for myself, just wondering if anyone knew for sure).
For the cheaper price, I may well be tempted!!
Ok, off to demo the URS comps now to see how they fare.....

What really blew me away, was the way the release time-constant behaved.
Natural, kind of. It makes it very useful on i.e piano in my opinion.

crap.....
I love the URS comps too; the TG is much more subtle IMO; the URS would probably find more uses for me, but then again, there is "that something" about the EMI thing....
