I've forgotten what ST plugs sound like by now and I'm beginning to not care.

The new Fabfilter MB saturation looks like it may be a Decapitator Decapitator.

Im still using ableton so 64 bit is a non-issue for me right now (although I have 16gb of ram installed and would love to use it). still, I hope ableton + soundtoys get on the 64 bus asap!

| That's exactly what I am also waiting for the most, Ableton + Soundtoys 64 bit. I don't think we will see 64 bit by these two companies anytime soon though. However, let's hope we get 64 bit before 2013! |

If Waves can offer 64bit, Soundtoys and other Dev's really need to get serious and forget about trying to implement pace & 64bit.Even Waves has stated that without iLok the Plugs see an increase in faster loading times etc..........

Ilok2 is the only way if you want to not be cracked I´m afraid. Is there a technical problem with 64 bit and Ilok2 btw?
cheers

oh...while soundtoys are playing hunt the code for a half baked wonder and pass it on....i'm ditching the plugins for a 64 bit environment.
i simply wont use the bridge that comes with logic.....if by mistake i launch it..i immediately shut down my computer and re boot.
waves have saved the day and made 64 bit fun for me!

Contacted SoundToys last week to enquire about 64bit/AAX and related update costs, still no answer.

anyway...we keep on keeping on!
a great set of plugins never stood in the way of progress...
soundtoys and UAD know they have us all waiting for one thing before we buy anymore products from them!
I will run at 32 bit from time to time anyway.

They got time at their hands for free plugins like Little Radiator but no 64-bit versions of their main stuff yet??

that's right...though they have a smaller team than waves they have less plugins to focus on.
Perhaps they don't realise just what a vital and inspirational left of field company they are?
And how the 64 bit implementation will insure this top ranking for years to come.
It's a no brainer...one thing i will never fathom is 'who is happy at 32 bit?'
I don't use pro tools or know much about it to be honest...but i assume that it all works out well for them at 32 or something and thats why some companies are dragging their heels.
Waves...on the other hand....are on the crest of the wave right now....brilliant company!...lost for words on waves!

Soundtoys really need to sort it out (maybe we are on the cusp)... I use pro tools and logic - pro tools is fine at 32 bit in my opinion but the logic 32 bit bridge is a real pain in the tits - it has been doing a lot of crashing lately and like people say that causes me to not want to use soundtoys in my productions... they are now the last ones in my list on 32 bit.

Anyone using waves v9 you need the new Ilok to run 64 bit???
Soundtoys is the only thing keeping me from switching to 64 completely (cubase)
I had the 64 bit version of cubase for years I feel, I thought they would've caught up by now! I got 16 gb of ram I need to start using haha!
BTW anyone use the little radiator I got the email but was too late to download..Is it any good?

i think a lot of other companies are using sound toys as an excuse...
''well..if sound toys is only 32 bit...what have we to worry about''
i reckon that when ....IF.....sound toys go to 64..then many others will stand up and do the work...especially when their own product range begins to be ignored completely.

July 3, 2012, Still no 64 bit support, kind of disappointed, not buying any more sound toys products until they release a reliable update. :-(

To come in last among most of the other plug-in developers, it probably means they mistakenly just didn't think it was such a big deal early on. Waves has a ton of plugs and they're all 64-bit now. And I don't buy the "we are a small company" excuse. I think they should not wait until all their plug-ins are 64-bit; they should finish something like Echoboy first and just get it out the door. We are all waiting.

Any news?
I'd buy Dacapitator & FilterFreak but if it will not be released a 64-bit version I will not use it...
Thanks.

Ken from Soundtoys mentioned in another thread that 64 bit is coming soon.
Be patient, it's a small company, and their plugins sound great

Any news ?
I was looking for the native bundle as I'm nicely surprised by the demos but no 64 bit is a big deal breaker...
It seems that the Fabfilter's bundle could be a good alternative. Any thoughts ?

They've got to be holding out for some reason.
No other decent company has had this sort of trouble. I'm beginning to doubt it's "trouble" at all, but some sort of well-executed business plan that we will only see after it's over. |
