IE6 problem

I know it's not related to audio but I already saw guys here giving help about so many different things so here I go.
My win xp pro comes with IE6 and when after downloaded IE8, I tried to install and it says it cannot be installed because I need to download a file and after being relocated to that file donwload page and downloaded, when I try to install it I got this message = my puter has a version with a different LANGUAGE than the file so download another version.
I tried to install with different languages but I got always the same result.
Do you guys know how to fix that?
Thanks

Sorry, but IE is totally gay.

Use

Google Chrome - Get a fast new browser. For PC, Mac and Linux

Mozilla Firefox Web Browser — Free Download

Opera browser | Faster & safer internet | Free download

And have no headache at all.

So you didn´t read a word I said.
I don´t want to use IE6, I want to use IE8 but it doesn´t make me install other IE.
Besides that I didn´t ask what you think about IE6, are you high?
Thanks anyway.

Is there something wrong with being gay?

To the OP: the IE donwload has to match the language of your XP installation (portuguese?). Doesn't the auto-update built into IE(6) handle this?

Anyway, here is the IE9 download page, with all the languages and versions: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/i...wide-languages

Good luck

r,
j,
I thought the same, some people think homosexuality is a disease and the worst is we're in 2011!
I'm not gay but all gay people I met were smart, funny and polite.
Everybody who have something againgst homosexuals have a deep problem inside of himself/herself.

Anyway it doesn't accept any language I download, it keeps saying it doesn't match my puter language even downloading in my language.
WEIRD but not gay

Thanks for your time

IE is a problem
hate it
have it only cause ie6 is on my xp machine

there is no need to update it
get firefox
better faster easier cheaper safer and fewer bugs

you need to check the microsoft technical info sites for help
better
hire someone who knows what they are doing to install it for you

where did you get ie8 from ?
if it wasnt direct from microsoft then delete that file asap

sign up for hotmail
it will tell you ie6 is old and give you a link for latest ie
then dl it

or dl it from the official microslop update site

I don't really see 'gay' in this sense being an insult to homosexuality, but that's another debate.

I would second what was said before that you should avoid IE - all versions. They are slow, insecure, handle downloads very poorly, don't follow web standards and are a headache for web designers having to write one website for every browser which follows the standard, and another just for IE. WEbsites will e displayed as they were meant on other browsers and I would recommend chrome. The only thing I use IE for is outlook web access.

Sorry that doesn't solve your problem but Microsoft should either give up or conform to the standards like everyone else.
