Steve Jobs Customer Service Rep?

Hey slutz, not exactly music related, but computer related and I thought it was interesting. I mean we've all called customer support at one time or another for something, don't think I ever got the CEO....

Steve Jobs fielded some customer service requests - CNN.com

kinda nifty little tidbit there. for the record I'm a PC user, and I didn't get the CEO when I called my brands company...lol no Mac vs PC intended, just thought this was rather intriguing, I've been a phone rep in my day.

I see how much equipment you own.
I am not sure if this is a good thing from a customer's point of view.

A customer with 10 Apple devices calls support...

A customer with 1 Apple device calls support...

I'll tell you, in a few years there will be tales of Jobs walking on water and multiplying fish...

Well, whatever his motivation was, he certainly put his personal touch on everything Apple. I doubt we'll see the likes of him again anytime soon.

Someone rightfully reminded the Spiegel Online forum that he'd prefer using an old normal cell phone over an iPhone any day if he had to give up his dishwasher for getting the iPhone.

He then asked which invention changed the world more: the iPhone or the dishwasher?

Funny that, I was wondering the other day, what exactly stops Apple from making home appliances like washing machines or vacuum cleaners? Certainly not a possible lack of money or engineering skills?

I mean, I could actually see it: Apple irons, coffee machines, air cons... Every single item would be extra shiny, extra easy to use, and extra expensive. Just imagine, you could walk from one end of your flat to the other and have Apple logos stare at you at all times.

That was actually my point all along. And I don't see it as a good thing.

It's been well known for many years that Steve Jobs would sometimes personally respond to emails that you sent him.

His replies were often real short and to the point, with the whole email reply sometimes consisting of nothing more than a "No."
