Quick question about Cubase and Artura dongal

Hello.

Iv got Cubase 6 (pc) and obviously have the dongle it came with.

Iv just bought Arturia V collection. That has also come with a Stienberg dongal.

Can I use my original dongal to store the arturia license, or did the Arturia bundle preload the license on to there own dongal, and thus you need to use both at the same time?

Silly question i know, but there really wasn't much help in the box, or on the Arturia site.

Thanks,

t

You first need to install the dongle software:
Latest Downloads
(Always get the latest version!)

After dongler driver install, you need to use the "eLicenses control Center" to download the licenses for your new Arturia software. In the Arturia package, you should see a one time usable serial number, that should be used for downloading the licenses to your dongle.

The dongle that comes with the bundle is probably empty. And yes you can use your original dongles for the Arturia licenses.

I prefer to store all my licenses on a single dongle. I'm not sure how many you can fit on a single Steinberg key, but it must be hundreds.

Hi Tritace,

Here is Denis from Arturia. Just to let you know that the V Collection license is already loaded in your dongle. Well, after installing the software is should be just plug and play.

Just like SLL told you, if facing any problem install the latest version of of the eLicenser Control Center.

Please note that you will be able to store your Cubase and V Collection licenses on the same dongle (simple drag and drop on the eLicenser Control Center).

More information over there.

Kind regards,

Denis

The dongles aren't made by Steinberg.
The company is Syncrosoft. Their software is eLicenser.
Steinberg have their logo laser-cut into the dongle.
Many industries use the Syncrosoft dongle, like embroidery, automotive.

Hey Denis,

Thanks for the eLicener help..However, after installing the package and plugging in the dongal, it couldnt find the licence.

So i took your advise and installed the latest control center, and it found the Licence on the stand alone versions...But cubase wont recognise the or display the instruments in the vst folder.

Also, the Cs-80v isnt recognised at all even in stand alone (no dll is found).

Iv sent this to your techsupport, but if anyone has this problem, and its a simple fix..please let me know..

Thanks,

t

Ok Great..Problem solved.

Cubase stops loading in problematic plugins. So, i had to Delete Cubase blacklist file, Vst2xBlacklist.xml,

Then it would rescan the directory. and they all show up fine.
