Question Midiot needs VSTi or RTASi help - sine wave sound

Hey all,

I want to get a VSTi or RTAS instrument that will give me a pure sine wave tone that I can play via midi - a free plug would be great.

To fill in some background - I mix in PTHD and today while mixing an indie rock track with 2 basslines (1 high, 1 low kinda New Ordery) I wasn't getting the low low end that I wanted. I used the tone generator in PT to make up some sine waves at the root notes for some of the verse and mixed it in under the track with the Phoenix plug cranked for some harmonics. I also doubled it an octave higher.

It worked really really well and gave me exactly the result I wanted but there are two many chord changes in the song to print all the roots and place them by hand so I'd love a synth that I could play along with a sine tone sound. I have the VST to RTAS wrapper so I'm hoping that some VST guru can help me locate a free plug to do the job. I'm on OSX by the way.

thanks,
Ruairi

any ideas?

Surely some guy has written a VSTi that can do what I need - or do I have to spend my night editing tones

cheers,
Ruairi
