| Lives for gear | Q clone ..anybody use it ?
I saw where you can model your outboard eq and use it as a plugin....BUT.... does it really sound JUST like your analogue unit ? Is this just marketing hype......or can you really not differentiate between what´s real and what´s the plug in ? Anybody care to post an original track , then the Q-clone track, and then the real deal track so we can compare ? If this is true, it´s definitely worth the price.. what is it...$ 700 ?

i use it and like it. it doesn't sound 'exactly' the same, but it sounds great. how close you get to the original source i'd think depends alot on what ADDA converters you use anyway. up til now i've used 192s. with better converters i bet it would get closer to the real thing (though it's pretty close now). depending on the situation, i sometimes like the sampled one better! don't like WUP any more than the next guy but i think QClone is useful.
