Komplete 8 and the "Solid" effects question

I'm confused about the new "solid" series effets in the new Komplete bundle.

I saw that the Komplete 8 Ultimate bundle includes the three solid effect plug-ins: Bus Comp, Dynamics, and EQ but is not listed as being included with the standard (non-ultimate) Komplete 8.

Fair enough, but when I look at the new version of Kontakt and check out what's new in version 5, it lists the solid effects under "New Pro Effects" and has a message at the bottom:

"* These pro-league effects are also available as fully fledged individual products - but you have them already included here in KONTAKT 5."

Are these the same plug-ins that are included with Komplete 8 Ultimate? And if so, can they be used on audio tracks or only as an effect on instruments using the Kontakt plug-in?

My assumption was that it was limited to use for instruments, but the note on the website almost makes it sounds like they are fully included. This will help me decide whether to invest in the Ultimate bundle or not. Thanks to anyone who can clarify!

For processing sampled material, you can use Kontakt 5. For processing external signals you need the external versions (well, they load in Guitar Rig really I think) which are sold separately or with the Ultimate bundle.
