The best usb hub

Hey guys,

I need a usb hub for my laptop when I'm not at work in the studio. I saw good things on the Logitech 4-port, but I need something bigger.

The most important thing about it is that it can power midi devices. Right now the only midi controller I own that does not require external power is a drum pad.

Anyone know of a good 10 hub that can power devices such as: Western Digital TB HD, midi controllers and such.

I'm on my phone currently but if you go to think geek and search for "USB hub 7 port" you'll find one shaped like a power strip. If has individual on off switches and successfully powers my external hard drive (using SSD drums in Pro Tools 9) ableton launchpad and m audio axiom control if the you use the included power supply. Best part is it's only $21. Hope this helps.

In case anyone needs a usb hub with power switches

I picked up one of these a few weeks back. 7 ports, powered.

Everything works fine with it, though I haven't tried an HD. If that's your audio drive, I don't think you want it one a bus with other things if you can help it.

Right now it's powering maschine, a couple midi controllers and a dongle or two.
