Problem recording vocals with Focusrite/Saffire 6 USB

Hi there I just joined the forum and it seems like a good one to share ideas and get some help.
Im slowly buidint a hope studiio. I use reason 5 with record and now I just bought a Focusrite/Saffire 6 USB.
I connected it to my laptop and the problems are:
When I record the vocals they come out off beat (even if i sing on the right BPM). When I listen to it the vocals are slower than the beat.

Does anyone knows the right setup?

Thanx in advance

Manuel

Check your driver Buffer - I would change the buffer lenght first in your Global Control Panel of your Saffire 6 USB. Are you recording in 24Bit/48 khz or 16Bit/44.1 khz?

Thanx

First of all, I would re-install the Drivers and while you do that make sure you got the latest Version.:
Downloads the latest software and user guides for your Focusrite Product Saffire 6 USB

As you lower the buffer size, this adds greater strain on your computer's CPU and it will eventually fail to pass audio. To improve the performance of your computer you should optimise your computer for audio and remove and disable any other devices and services that may be adding a load to the CPU.

Guide-Link for WinXP.=
Definitive Guide to Windows XP Tweaking for Audio | Moozek

This fantastic Guide is written for Microsoft Windows XP but a lot of it applies for Windows 7 too. I use since about three months the Focusrite Saffire 6 USB and I think it's an fantastic Audio Interface - I have no problems running it with SamplitudeV10. When you still have problems you might want to contact Focusrite directly...me myself I am going to get me the Focusrite Scarlette 8i6 & VRM Box here in two Weeks. Im a Big Fan of Focusrite's approach on the Audio Interface World

Make sure ASIO drivers are chosen in Ableton Live.

Did change the buffer lenght in Global Control Panel of your Saffire 6 USB as well as latecy and it got a lot better. I dont know if theres is a general settup that works for everyone or if its differente for everyone. I will try to play with it a bit and try to find the right settup for my vocals.
Thank you so much for the help...
