As new functionality, in addition to bug fixes, I've added what most have asked me, adding a new mode for VU.
in fact in version 1.1 have added several new things that were things that had not planned to do and users have asked me.
I do not know if those who said they were disappointed here has bought satson. Sonimus has a support system, anyone who has bought a plugin can write us.
I see some comments expected the global bypass,
Global bypass on Saton would not be useful because:
1 - Satson emulates (or attempts to emulate) a mixer channel and buss workflow, on real mixer you can not disable the saturation.
2 - Satson has a gain control, no a drive control, so, if you turn on GB then you will lose the tracks levelling.
3 - When you activate satson, saturation also works as a volume leveling and this changes the dynamics, depending on the situation, may make it more dynamic or less.
Satson has a different philosophy compared to the other console emulation plugins. this is why the GB does not make sense in satson.
Guys, it is a free update, in the future will come new versions, I will not let it freeze.
PS: Sorry for my english.
Diego. | Hey Diego,
I love your work and I wouldn't take the comments personally. You just can't make everyone happy. No product can. If you provided the most amazing update ever, someone would moan that the update didn't do their food shopping for them.
You have brought an amazing product to the market, it cost next to nothing and I personally do not expect major changes for free. I rest assured that your updates will never cost as much as Waves or the cost I will incur in buying all the new plugin versions of the old plugin versions that UAD will be sure to rinse for what it is worth.
I say all of this, because you can knock out an amazing product like Satson and still feel pretty unappreciated, because of a bit of moaning.
At $39, I am sure you still have to keep a day job and will come up with more ideas when the time is right. Until then, I will keep on mixing ITB with the Satson firmly on, keeping things nice and simple and sounding good.
Keep on trucking |

Just bought it to encourage the dev a bit more.
Seriously, I'm so eager to finally try this thing out as I've heard great things about it. And it was its simplicity that won me over.

I tell you, I bought it when it first came out and it's on every project I've worked with since then. Lovely filters, sweet saturation, easy to work with, really speeds up my mixing because it just sounds so good. And on top of it its got that nice subtle analog vibe to it. Great piece of software! Thank you, Diego!!

Using the Satson update and loving it more and more. Using Waves SSL Bus Comp less on the stereo because the Satson makes everything sound more 3d ish as some of you guys had mentioned.

Disengaging this suddenly makes the audio 'flat' to my ears after trying it on a few things. Instead of listening for saturation and worrying about how hard you should be driving it, really pay attention to the overall image of things. Just simply setting the plugins up yields results I found. It's a subtle thing, as noted, depending on your listening environment (and your ears) things can either pop, or not, but I can definitely hear a difference.
Couldn't hear anything negative, sources seemed to retain clarity just had 'something else' to them.
Really great job with the plugin Diego, I would've paid much more for this.

I know a few have mentioned not being able to notice a whole lot on individual sources, but try a stereo piano track if you have one from any old or current sessions. Should be a little easier to bypass a buss and one track to contrast the two.

I also used to drive it hard but clearly that was totally the wrong approach in my opinion. I get a great very transparent sound also a very big sound. This is the plugin I can't mix without. I also like the Sknote Stripbus but I personal feel I get the sound I am looking for in the Satson with less work. After setting the proper gain stages and the use of the filters I can easly hear what it has done to the mix. This is truly an amazing plugin no doubt about that.

Sent from my MOTWX435KT using Gearslutz App | +1, the great thing about it is not really having to do anything with it. Set it up, do a little staging, and then focus on what you should be; mixing and creating music.

Basically, I think they may be loosing a small or larger %%% of customers based on the way they make you 'Log In' before you can do ANYTHING ...like read about the products/check the prices real quick etc etc
I for one am all set with registering somewere if i only want to get a quick glance at a few things. Now i probably wont go back there.
Wrighting this to be helpful... Im sure there are plenty of people like me that dont like to be forced to do anything like become a Member.

only you need to be "logged in" to purchase and download the products.
I do not understand what you intend. I wish you were more specific, so we can improve our services.
Cheers
Diego.

I use laptop+Profire 2626+ADA8000+laptop as a live mixer with my band. I'm looking for a new plugin that saturates my signals like a real console during live gigs. Maybe Satson is the missing element, anyone using it like I would?
EDIT: Bought it..!

| Would anyone else benefit from a phase switch?
Hi there
I bought SatSon yesterday and was testing it out on a mini mixing session last night in Logic. I normally use the gain utility in logic to gain stage but SatSon obviously supercedes this other then there is no phase switch. I'd like to be able not to use the gain plug at all and use SatSon to ensure phase coherency in multi-mic situations.
I've searched this thread so even though I think this is an obvious and useful addition no-one else seems bothered which I find a little surprising.

Tony | Logic has no built-in phase switch in mixer channel?
