What is Universal Binary right now?

Trying to figure out which way to go with a computer and though I'd like to go with a MacBook, worries persist. A major function of the worry and the decision is software. So, I'm hoping to assemble a list of what audio programs and plugins are ready to go for the MacIntels right now.
