Thumbs up Anyone controlling their FF800 via MIDI?

.

Yo dudes,

I'm just wondering if any of you are controlling your F800 master volume, matrix monitor configuration, etc.
with a MIDI controller?

If so, which MIDI (control surface) unit are you using?

And, how is it working for you?

Any issues, etc.?

Thanks, as usual!

I'm interested in finding this out i hate not just having a knob to turn. The fireface mixer is so fiddley a physical volume knob would be great, one that you can can scroll through channels with and a just gains and such

bring up the matrix, click on a channel, type in the number. Can't get much simpler than that.

I do not believe the TotalMix app can be controlled remotely, but I never looked into it. Great idea but I would want finer control than MIDI allows. Also, TotalMix is a fairly comprehensive mixer with the matrixing and all, so whatever was used would have to be very well thought out ahead of time.

Knowing those guys, someone there is probably working on it.

Hey, thanks, man! Do you have personal experience with this?

If so, how are you using the 2000, and what are you using it for?

We almost ordered the 2000 yesterday.

Cheers!

Success!

I just hooked up my Behringer BNC44 to my Fireface 800, and I'm all set.

I'm happy I can control the Fireface presets for tracking, mixing, and speaker switching setups, including phones.

I've got all my relative volumes adjusted for tracking mics and guitar direct.

I'm using the dim control as a master mute.

There are a couple of things I wish I could do - like control Fireface input volumes via MIDI, but for now I'm a happy camper!

It's awesome!

Thanks, lads!
