Waves Doubler added to bundles

http://www.waves.com/content.asp?id=117

Available free to current WUP users of the Musicians, Transform, Native Power Pack, Gold, Platinum, Broadcast and Production, Diamond and Vocal bundles.

No doubt this will trigger a rash of threads about what a wonderful company Waves is.

I'll refrain from my personal opinions about Waves and WUP

Oh what the heck...

Yea, Right... $400- to reWUP to get Doubler? NOT!

well in terms of my setup and not wanting to cough out more money for a full blown harmonizer, yeah actually the doubler works OK for me. the only thing i don't like is i've noticed it takes more CPU than other plugins.

I think I'll stick to my Lexicon's doubler, it's way awesome and no CPU drain.

Doubler doesn't do anything you couldn't do with stock delay plugins on any platform, but it sure is easy to use. The lazy man's effect. In moderation, it's quite nice.

It does not sound like tue doubling. It's a delay/chorus.

Digi's pitch plug doesn't have an LFO.

The Waves Doubler is cool because it evokes the old doubler style effect from the H3000 and later, where one voice is fixed and the other(s) are swept with an LFO with the intensity and speed at the user's control. So the second voice can drift a little sharp then a little flat and so on so it sounds more like a real double.

Syra, you may want to take another look if Digi's Pitch plug sounds better which can only create a double that is totally static (unless you automate).

I don't use plugs to double anything...they don't sound like the real thing. I use them as a chorus (you know, +9 L / - 9 R...). In that respect, I find the digi plug sounds clearer/bigger than the doubler...

Doesn't the WAVES MetaFlanger already do this as a preset?
And it is already in most of those bundles.
