Streaming samples from external hard drive

Does it make any difference weather you do this with an internal or external drive.

Do you guys have any preferences for external hard drives.

Cheers.

with respect it amazes me that someone thats spent or spending the money at this level and from your past posts would need to ask that question.

I googled a search for similar discussin of this subject and it brought me to Gearslutz. While reading a question from a forum member I came across this response. To manning1, I'd like to say:

With "respect", it amazes me that someone who cares enough to post a response and is truly constructive with their time would write a rubbish answer like this that leads nowhere. The guy asked a question. If it bores you, or you don't actually have an actual answer, keep your f%*$ing fingers off the keyboard or go take your pointless enegry to some porn forum where no one cares if it's littered with useless responses like yours.

Several manufacturers recommend using a second internal 7200 rpm drive or a Firewire 800 drive. They also recommend lots of ram, like at least a couple gigs or more.

You can use INT or EXT SATA or FW HD. Just make sure it has a good amount of cache.

More cache the better

Some guys like the 10,000RPM HD but the 7200RPM works just fine here
