why is it that on Amazon they refer to Logic Studio as the old version and the price is dropped? Seems that a quick internet search shows it's not available in some stores and others have dropped the price. Is that because it's now an APP?

Logic Studio is no longer being made. The boxes that are being sold right now are the last ones ever to be sold new.
You can get the apps separately from the app store at a much lower price. Issue is that Waveburner can't be bought at the app store. It only comes with Logic Studio

It's the old version. Hasn't been made in box format for 20 months.

I dunno about you guys but the version of Logic shown in the new Apogee Quartet video
sure doesn't look like what I'm currently using. Hmmmmm

The Arrange window looks too dark and there is much higher contrast. The regions also
look more vivid as well.

Looks the same to me... though the contrast appears to be a little darker etc.

Might only be the contrast. I checked the video on the iPad but the Region Parameter Box sure looks different on my iPad. But it could only be the angle it was filmed.

I zoomed in to check but think it's the contrast. The region parameters box looks like that if you have just an audio track selected, but no regions. The white splodges are just the checkboxes, and the result of using a brighter track icon. My link button is rectangular as well!

Apple has announced an event for 12 September. Perhaps they'll announce logic 10.

you're right its a bit darker and I feels its different.. lets wait and see 12 september. hope they'll unveil the new logic

Hey guys - I do a lot of color grading work in Resolve or SpeedGrade - I'm not convinced that image on the screen of the laptop has been graded or had the contrast altered in a way similar to the rest of the scene.... Not unless the editor / grader took the time to selectively grade the screen.

So.... could be the next Logic.... mmmmm

hmmm i dunno...i froze the images and aside from the colours...everything looks pretty much the same...i doubt it's logic X...hope i'm wrong anyway

September 12th is for IPhone 5, IOS 6 and probably iPods releases. When Logic X comes out I seriously doubt it will be through an event. Hasn't happened in the past. It will hardly be so in the future.
