you can ONLY have THREE (3) VSTI's!

ONLY THREE!! The rest MUST GO!

In this thread you can only have/keep THREE (3) soft synths to make your amazing music, but which three? Spare us from the usual blurb about "subjective" and "depends on what genre" etc. Also, don't beat someone up if they list Kontakt as a soft synth or Reason. As they say in Chinese, "Mei Guan Xie," which means "It doesn't matter!" Base your selection on whatever you want to base it upon. Some might argue for balance, i.e. FM, Analog, additive, subtractive, hybrid, whilst others might pull for 64bit, 32bit, etc. Yet, others might be influenced by Arps and FX. Regardless, if you could only keep three, which three would it be?

My Recordings/Credits

Ha! This is easy. I'll choose the TWO I usually use:

1. Battery 3
2. Sylenth1

If I really had to choose a third one, it would be M-Tron Pro.

I was kind of using VSTI's as the generic Acro for Soft Synth/plugins . . . but didn't want to leave out samplers and such.

1. Sampler! Probably Kontakt for the large library of real stuff, or Alchemy if I'm feeling wild. Hmmmmm.
2. Zebra2 over Omnisphere.
3. Synplant! Yes! Why not? It's either that or an old standby analog from Gforce or Arturia. I'm feeling inspired by the freaky right now.

Of course it is. Countless songs were recorded with only a sampler.

Do you ever . . .

Do you ever feel like it would be best to use all of one companies stuff . . . almost like you are sponsored? I am torn between declaring myself a "X" guy and having a little from each company. Any thoughts? For Example, Use only Rob P's stuff or only N.I.'s stuff.
