Compressors with real Sidechain for Logic

I'm asking myself if there is any compressorplugin for Logic 7 on a Mac with a real sidechain (I mean, that for example the kickdrums is controlling the compression of the bass) besides the Logic's own compressor and silvercompressor?
I'm considering AU, TC-Powercore and UAD, not TDM, can't afford it, know that for example Ren-Compressor has a real sidechain as a TDM Plugin.
Does anybody know?
Thanks

sebastian

Good question.

If you find one please let me know!

Some people mistakenly mention C1 but that's not an external sidechain.

Metric Halo Channel Strip has this feature in TDM, but not in Logic. I wonder if it's an inherent limitation within Logic? Maybe if we request this feature they'll work on it.

The US have real sidechains? That would be great, having a hiquality CompPlug with sidechain, cause I'm not so sure about the Logic ones, never use them for other stuff than sidechain-compression, though the silvercompressor can be good for extrem FX-compression, not as good as my Distressors or Urei, but ok!Definetly have to get an Ilok!

YES they have 'real sidechain' so you can feed SC by bass, kik snare or any other signal you want and have available on a logic track / bus, furthermore the URS Comps have a frequency low/highcut for that sidechain and they sound excellent - so what do you want more ?

go get the demo

You need to buy an iLok for the URS, that sucks unless you already have one.

But hooray, we found one that will work (I hope) apart from Logic's own compressor.

lagerfeldt, sure it does as I said - keep in mind URS comps is a set of 4 plug ins, the 1970/1980 comp/lim ones have the sidechain, using one of this followed by tritone colourtone pro using a impulse of your taste is very flexible and good sounding comp flavor for logic very close to the hardware league...thumbsup

btw. logic 7.2 upgrade way is more stable in everyday use for me since upgraded

Logic's Compressor has it and I use it all the time for ducking the bass when the kick is present.

P.s. and yes the Sv-315 mkII is a good choice

I like the SV-315 but it's not that suitable for sidechaining kick+bass IMO.

Are you stalking me Sieber?
