Thread Starter | New SSDs are out - which is best for samples use?
We now have a few new generation SSDs out: - OCZ Vertex 3 - Intel 320 "G3" and 510 - Micron/Crucial C400 Compared to previous generation SSDs, it looks like these newer SSDs have higher sequential read speeds, but lower random read speeds. There are detailed benchmarks for these SSDs already for people that are interested. I'm about to buy a SSD for my operating system and samples library, does anyone know whether it's better to go with the newer generation SSDs (in other words sequential speed is important) or the older generation SSDs (in other words random speed is important)? |
