Trouble Mapping with Akai MPK Mini Controller

Hey all,

Just bought an MPK Mini. I'm trying, using the mapping editor software, to assign a knob to, let's say, CC11, for example. I've also tried remapping all the pads to trigger appropriate notes for drum kits. I edit the parameters in the software, save the preset, but it won't upload to the controller. I've realized I'm supposed to be receiving an "upload successful" notification, and I'm not.

I know this isn't anything that technical....any guidance?

Thanks a lot!

Had this same problem. Ended up reinstalling the editor a couple times and downloading it from akaipro.com eventually it just worked. Not the best advice but it worked for me. Wish they would do a better job with the editor software but now that it works i haven't had any issues. Hope this helps.

I have a similar issue. I have been trying to find a preset for reason 4 to work. Preset 3 that comes with the provided software is close but not exactly what I want and honestly the software just doesnt work for anything other than uploading presets. Excuse my ignorance im kind of new to this.

When you first open up the editor software, two windows should pop up - the regular editor window, and a very little one with a menu to choose the controller and a big green okay button. Select the MPK Mini in that one, press okay, then upload the preset. Also, make sure you're device is on the right program.

Just came across this thread (also this is my first post on here) and I'm having trouble mapping my MPK Mini. See, at first, the editor uploaded properly and I was able to run it in both Reason and in the MPC software with my MPC Renaissance. However, I restarted my computer, and it won't upload any preset. I'm supposed to get a message, and I'm not getting it this time.
