Best arm for mounting flat-panel monitor.

I ran across this yesterday while I was at the DWR showroom looking for chairs.

http://www.dwr.com/productdetail.cfm?id=3923

This thing is super-industrial; nothing flaky about it. It's just under $300 and totally worth it.

The photo doesn't come close to showing how well-made this thing is.

Comes with 75mm and 100mm mounting bracket. I had to order it, but will report when it arrives.

Here's the dual-monitor version from the mfgr's website:

http://www.humanscale.com/products/m7_deskmount.cfm

the keyboard/mouse under-desk mounts from humanscale look nice, too.

Wow!

A lot classier than the Kensington ones I have.

Looks great Max!

Another one which I'd like to try and see sometime is this one.

How much is that dual monitor version, Max?

I figure if I'm gonna pop 3 bills or over, I might as well get a couple monitors... that part's pretty cheap.

•••Get it for less here•••

I found the Humanscale monitor mount for less:

http://888ergodir.com/Merchant2/merc...egory_Code=LCD

$219.00

and +$39 for dual.

I had DWR cancel my order thru them, which they were OK with since I bought some expensive chairs.

The DWR version definitely looks like it's polished or plated or something. Check out the two photos; the finish is different. Might be paying $80 for that.

Oh, they come in clamp or grommet mount, in black or silver. The metal looks so nice, I can't imagine ordering black, but other than that, I usually get everything in black if possible.

I'm about to start using something closer to this:

For a 20" Apple monitor.

Dave:

Just wondering:

Doesn't this "Easily attaches to LCDs that are VESA® MIS-D, 100/75, C compliant" mean that you can't use a Mac monitor?

What Brad said - I'm just trying to finalize the monitor and keyboard extension method I'm gonna use right now - I think it's time to retire the old Gefen 150 series extender (that I bought for my 9600, and supports ADB and VGA...)
