Thread Starter | BFD.......Stylus RMX.......Others....What's The Best?
I'm thinking of getting some sort of drum sample, groovebox thing and my 002R came with BFD Lite. Seems pretty awesome. I'm hearing a lot about the Stylus thing too. What do you guys like and why. Differences? Thanks |

BFD and Stylus RMX are very different beasts. Whilst BFD is aimed directly at Acoustic drums Stylus covers a lot of ground and offers bits of everything. Bear in mind the LE version of BFD is heavily crippled compared to the full version and offers many more sounds and features. Both programs are highly capable but not imo directly comparable. If you want acoustic samples then imo obviously somewhat biased opinion then BFD is the best of the 2 products. If you want more electronic sounding drums the Stylus RMX is a good choice. I am sure many other people will offer advice , and you would be wise to listen. But I think the two products are to different to truly compare. Hope this helps GFX FXpansion Audio UK Ltd. |

If you are doing mostly rock/pop type stuff, I'd go for BFD. If you're doing Hip Hop/R&B/Electronic, I'd go for Stylus RMX or definitely check out GURU.

I really like Reason with the drumkits 2.0 refill, sounds great to me and is a snap to set up. I could never get battery to work right with ptle and Ive never actually used BFD. just my 2cents |
