Vocal Doubling Software

Hey there.

Wondering if anyone here has played with either the Antares Vocal Duo or Choir OR the Waves Vocal Doubler.

Looking to fatten up some choruses - some of which have vocal harmonies on them already - but wondering of either of these plug ins would add a little something extra (in a poitive way)

Thanks,

SparkyCanada

i doubt they can do much that u cant just do manually...if you mean thewaves doubler 2 and 4...its nothing speciall....just doubles the audio, lets u set them a few samples apart, and allows u to pan them on a x/y axis

I haven't messed with Duo yet, but I really like to make a copy of a non auto tuned vocal track and auto tune the crap out of it with + or - 5 detune and maybe a slight delay and it sounds quite a bit like a real life tight double when blended in.
If the vocal duo is anything like this process it should sound pretty cool.
The Waves doubler sounds pretty good in mono with one voice selected, but the split stereo always sounds too phoney and weird to me.
The H3000 does that L-R split sound better much better imo.

It has modulated delay and detune too.
With seperate control for each voice.

I'm probably more curious about how well either of these products work when attempting to add a 3rd or 5th harmony with 'em.

Thanks,

SoundBlender and TimeBlender from Soundtoys
Octavox and Quadravox from Eventide

All of them are miles ahead of Waves Doubler.
