Thread Starter | Can RME Digi 9652 be used for surround sound in PowerDVD in Windows XP?
I finally got some rear surrounds in my studio/media room. I'm now ready to take advantage of the speakers for regular movie watching.... I'm using PowerDVD as my dvd software player and a Lynx L22 as my regular windows soundcard. Unfortuntately the Lynx is a stereo card, so I'll need to use my RME Hammerfall Digi9652 card as my surround soundcard because it's got multiple outs. Anyone know if the RME is capable as a surround card in windows? I seem to recall something about their WDM drivers being pretty bad. Anyway.. if anyone has any wisdom to shed in the world of surround sound in windows XP, I'd appreciate it. |

If you need multiple channels of ADAT lightpipe, you could also add an LS-ADAT to your L22. That would give you up to 16-channels and supports interleaved/surround playback.
