Farview Recording's "Rock Drums Volume II" now available in *.wav* format

(Copied from prweb.com)

Not in time for NAMM - Farview Recoording's "Rock Drums Volume II" now available in a near universal music production format.

By popular demand, the best-selling drum replacement sample collection for the Drumagog program to be released in PCM (.wav) format for almost any sequencer, sampler or loop-based software application.

Music producers and engineers will be excited to know that the ever-popular "Rock Drums for Drumagog Volume II" - One of the most widely used drum replacement sample collections in the recording industry, is to be released in a format that will allow nearly any music producer, from novice to professional, some of the best and most complete collections of drum samples available.

"Rock Drums Volume II" will allow users of popular music production programs such as Acid, Fruity Loops, Sound Replacer, Aptrigga, Drum Rehab and others, as well as almost any sampler, hardware or software, access to the same drum samples previously available only to those using Drumagog.

Entire drum kits - Over 70 snare sets, over 80 tom sets, two dozen kick drum sets - even a full collection of cymbal sounds. All are multi-sampled to give engineers and producers nearly unlimited options when building raw drum tracks or resampling existing tracks.

Jay Walsh of Farview Recording developed "Rock Drums for Drumagog" after sampling several drum kits for use at his own studio in St. Charles, IL. With the growing popularity of the two collections, the need for compatibility with other programs and recording software seemed inevitable.

Flexibility was a key factor in the development of RDII - Drums are multi-sampled to avoid the "robotic" feel of other drum replacement collections. There are several levels of processing to give engineers as much freedom as possible. From completely raw hits, to mildly EQ'd and compressed sounds - even room sounds are part of each drum's sample set. Several samples went through an additional phase of post production at MASSIVE Mastering (Schaumburg, IL) to provide "finished" drum sounds right out of the box.

Quality is another key factor. All of the drums on RDII were recorded using top-shelf recording gear - A collection of recording hardware from Amek, Langevin, Manley, Neve, Neumann, Sennheiser, Shure, Lavry, Soundcraft, Audio-Technica and others was utilized to give even the most humble recording setup drum sounds that would normally be available only in a well-equipped professional recording facility.

"Rock Drums Volume II" is the perfect addition to any collection of drums samples - It's basically an entire collection of drum samples all by itself.

What the press release fails to mention is that Rock Drums Volume II Ultra ships with a bonus CD that includes even more samples.

The bonus CD has been extended. It now included all the snares in mono for more universal compatability.
