Gigastudio for Mac

I got my usual emusician xtra newsletter in my email and I noticed something peculiar. They mentioned in their NAMM coverage that inside sources have told them that Tascam is planning on releasing a software sampler for OSX. They were alluding to Gigastudio for Mac probably for the new intel machines.

Anybody else heard of this?

I spoke with someone on the Giga team at NAMM who confirmed this. With MacIntels, they can recompile the code without the nightmare porting to OSX could be...

After 9 years of people asking if Giga works on Macs, it must be nice for those guys to finally be able to give a positive answer.

Well I guess I'll still be outta luck with my G4 powerbook. Oh well, it will give me an excuse to upgrade in a year's time .
