Converting files

Anyone know how to convert .tfx files to .xps? Basically I have presets for Waves from a Pro Tools session (Mac), and I would like to use these Wave settings in Nuendo (XP)... or a quick and easy workaround?

TFX are Pro Tools settings files... and are cross platform. XPS are Waves preset files and should also be cross platform. You need to open the TFX files in Pro Tools on either platform and instantiate the Waves plug-in, recall the Pro Tools setting (tfx) and save it in the Waves GUI as a Waves preset (xps).

How many presets do you have?

Well, Thats no answer.
this waves preset stuff is so confusing. tfx...xps....
so which is it, and how the hell do you install the xps files that you can download from the waves site, as well, they have these instructions that are piss poor.
http://www.waves.com/Objects/pdf/gen...structions.pdf

so when you save a preset in protools, its a tfx file.
the ones you download from waves are xps files. go figure
in the instructions from waves ,
after moving the downloadwed file to the waveshell dae plug ins folder(which isnt easy to find either) I then could inmport them in the plug in window in protools, but this happans...
no relavent setups in file"
and this part of the waves instructions tells me shit!

"Use the
browse window to locate the Impulse file in the Artist Preset Impulse folder."

can anyone explain to me how this waves preset stuff is suppose to be installed properly, to work!!!

cheers

oh and i found this .....like anyone can figure this out?
