everything I know of you have to pay for, its worth it if our files are worth something to you

and DON'T USE you computer in the mean time. (I hope you are not using it to post here).

Also I think you need a second drive for most undelete software

yeah, luckily i could still salvage some info, like mixer settings, custom plug presets, etc.. i just ended up re doing it.. just time lost.. but this time around i think it came out better so, thanks everyone for the help...
oh this was due to a harddrive crash, project was on HD1 then moved to HD2,
deleted project from HD1, HD2 crashed...

I feel 4 ya.

What's the old saying? - "It's not data unless it exists in two places"

I make mine THREE places. It's a PITA sometimes, but I sleep easy at night

been there, done that.......good luck.

it can be done, how much drivespace do you have left on the drive? if you have a lot, you might be ok, if you're sitting on an 80 gig drive and down to the last 10, it may be difficult to impossible.

many computer repair shops have some higher end data recovery software that can recover this kind of stuff. bring an external drive and your checkbook!

For that money I'd hire a linux guy, a PC and have him build a backup server *laugh*...

If you got someone at hand go for BACULA... it's free, easy to use and reliable.
