Whoa!!

I'm not sure how I feel about the "vintage dirty look" of the background to the buss compressor.....whatever.

They look fun though. Worth trying out I think.

Was there a price point?

Yeah, gotta love how they modeled the studio grime from years of engineers smoking in the control room! It looks like a fun compressor though.

The question is do you have to use the dedicated waves plug in box to use them? Are there any TDM versions?

TDM and Native
they told me it would be about $800 for Native. I messed with the comp and EQ for a few minutes and it sounded very nice and very SSLish. Also very low CPU drain.

they really worked hard on these emulations. mixture of convolution and digital modeling.. apparently it all NULLS with the hardware on the same settings to -35 db.

you knew it was gonna happen sooner or later... especially after SSL put that free talkback comp plug in their website. I'm rather surprised it's taken this long.
