Acid Pro 6 = serious improvements

Acid Pro 6 was just announced. It integrates most of the Audio features found in Sony Vegas and has much improved MIDI capabilities.

For those that know Sony's(Sonic Foundry) easy workflow, this looks like a great DAW platform.

Release is scheduled for March.

At last, a full blown multitracker that is as much intuitive as an MPC.

I've been an acid pro user since version 1.0 and this is definitley welcome news.
I'd like to see hi quality acid specific plug-ins and more editing features. Native Rex file support (i'm surprised it's not listed as a feature).

Yeah, I use Acid as a sketchbook, then I transfer to Vegas for overdubs, editing, and mixing. If you have ever used Vegas, then you will be glad to know that all the ease of editing that it offers will be available in Acid now.

Their included plugins are still the same old sucky ones, but I really don't use them. It would be nice to see native versions of the Oxford plugs included. I'm sure they will eventually - there are plans for for VST versions, but no timeline for them yet.

They are including Native Instruments Kompakt with Acid Pro 6 also. (I guess I'll be selling mine soon )

wow, this is a dream come true!

Just this week I was thinking how cool it would be if Vegas and Acid would be 1 program.

Have you ever noticed that if you use Vegas' metronome and record something at 80bpm, for example, it is a bit out of sync with Acid's 80bpm metronome? Can't wait for Acid 6 to come out, I'll be the first in line to buy it.

Ahhh, I just read that there's Mackie support.

I might just have to make my first Mackie purchase.
