Midi from keyboard to Pro tools or eslewhere

Hi. I'm extremely naive about MIDI so forgive me. I have a Roland keyboard XP80 with sequencer (about 5 years old). It holds floppies which I have lots of songs on. I want to transfer those songs onto Pro tools 7 to work on them or save them for later. I have a midi interface BUT it has a USB connector at the input end. So it won't fit into my MBOX but it does fit into my computer obviously. Is there anyways to get these files into Pro tools. IS there a free soft out there that I can import them into and then once in my computer, import to Pro tools? Is there a better solution? Any help would be appreciated. The files are just general Midi.
Thanks in advance!
Kelly

kelly.....try this..just trying to help.
my comments are only applicable if your on pc.
download the demo of powertracks that i use from pgmusic.com.
its midi facilities are very extensive. and used by some pro tools users because of this in depth functionality.....particularly the in depth midi event editing and notation.
one very IMPORTANT aspect. make sure you identify in powertracks MIDI PREFERENCES your input midi driver...then you SHOULD be able to transfer over and save as midi files in powertracks...for further transferring to pro tools.
powertracks will also if needed detail the chords in a midi stream/song.
which can be usefull in some situations.
if you run into problems you can pm me or there are many folks on the powertracks forum at pg who have been using midi for eons far longer than i have ....and are really nice and helpfull/very experienced midiots and have helped me many times.
all the best.
