CD Text ?!

One of my clients wants text added to the tracks. I used Jam, input the information about the the title and artist. I don't have a CD player with this option, but I could not get itunes to read the text off the CD as to appear. It only says "track 1, track 2,"ect.
Is this a write problem or a read problem? Do I need a special CD burner? I have a plextor.
I put in a commercial CD and the titles came up fine in itunes. Is it accesing the internet to get this info or is it on the disc?
Please help!

CD-TEXT is a feature which seems specific to certain models of CD player only - iTunes, AFAIK doesn't read it, it access GraceNote's CDDB to get the information (which you could also submit on the CD you've made). So it's really neither write nor read, just compatibility. The only way you can test whether it's working or not is to put it in a CD player which supports it.
