EMI Limiter Plug-In TDM and LE only ???

Just saw the announcement on the Chandler page.

Quote:
TDM and LE versions will be available in boxed form or for download in January. ILOK is required.
Now that`s a major disapointment for all the other platform users !

at least vst/dx/au should have higher priority than LE.

They chose ILOK as copy protection. Bad move.

Do you have ethical or functional issues with it?

I prefer having my plugs authorized on iLok.

I´m a travelling engineer, working in different studios. So iLok is a heaven´s sent for me.

Anybody knows how much it will be?

I would love to see it come to AU as well, maybe we should send them some sort of feedback, once it´s available.

TDM and RTAS seem to be the most expensive plugins, usually. I think I'd hit those formats first.

And I prefer iLok, too.

I just went thru hell (again) trying to get my PSP plugins re-auth'd on a new hard drive. I lost an entire evening.

agreed, ilok is good, authorizing to disc is a royal PITA.

I spend a day last week authorizing software, all those companies have different procedures for authorizing.. I hate it.

I find copy protection to be more challenging than music production and engineering!!

I can't think of a company with better customer service.......considering the Germanium Pre AND the plugin are coming out in January, I would guess they are extremely busy(it's a pretty small organization). Last time I had a question regarding my TG2, Wade emailed me back personally in less than 24 hrs. Great gear, great company.

Glad they responded to you. I had to email them twice to get a ilok demo and they still have not responded to my cost email.

That is an interesting point... you called him! It seems many people forget about that... and talking is so much faster than reading and typing an e-mail. Think about it... E-mail is the least productive form of communication! (Second only to forums! )

one more vote for... "They seem to have great customer service"

I've called them also... and had a couple of conversations with Wade.
C'mon... try doing that with any other larger company...
Getting THE guy on the phone? Not a chance...
