Digi 002 Conversion vs RME ADI-8?

Good Day and Happy Healthy New Year to All!!!

I'm in the process of doing some upgrades to my project studio.

Currently, I'm using a Digi 001 (though completelely bypassing this box). I'm using an RME ADI-8 "Pro" via ADAT Lightpipe for hardware i/o (Reverb, STC-8, etc...) and the Kurzweil Rumour for A/D (mics/direct lines).

I'm interested in switching over to a Digi 002 and Apogee Rosetta 800 w/Big Ben.

So my question is:

How does the RME's conversion stack up (literally....multi-tracks, that is...) to the 002s?

I'd be using the Apogee for the most important stuff and the 002 for harware i/o only.

My other option is to keep everything as is and just ad a Rosetta 200/Big Ben (via spdif) for the important stuff. I'm also considering the UA Audio 2192 for conversion & clock duties.

So can anyone with realworld experience concerning these items please chime in on the quality of these potential choices?

Thanks a TON man!!!!
