Transparent Pitch Changing...

I'm editing a choral recording right now that has a host of pitch issues... I'm doing the editing in my Sequoia rig which has pretty decent pitch change abilities. However, that said, some tunes are more than a 1/2 step off. Even with good pitch changing software, there are still some big artifacts.

What do you folks use when you need good pitch changing software? I also have a Digi001 rig so I can play stuff over there and do the pitch change destructively on that rig if necessary. Sequoia (like Samplitude) can take Direct-X or VST plugins. It isn't so much an auto-tune issue where the pitch is all over the place in a performance, but rather takes that drift high, low, or just start off pitch.

The program material is classical, 24 bit, 44.1 kHz... Stereo recordings.

Ben, you are taking stereo recordings of choral works and trying to do pitch correction? I'm guessing you can't possibly be trying to fix individual voice intonation problems, so I'm assuming you are talking about an a capella performance that drifts gradually from one key to another over time?

I'm not sure, but there might be software where you could draw in a gradual pitch change curve over the length of the entire song. Maybe check Serato's Pitch 'n Time to see if that will do it.

Yup. Ensemble intonation. This recording was direct to stereo. Sometimes the pitch changes over time, sometimes the pitch varries from take to take. I'll give pitch n' time a try.

Anything else out there that works? It would be easier if it was a PC-based program (DX or VST), but RTAS will work too if I have to...
